Barefoot Running
Will you be surprised to know that there are really fanatics who really think we should be running barefoot and without anything to wear on our feet? They really believe that our creator did not create human to use running shoes on hard surfaces but only to run barefoot on soft surfaces. They believe passionately in this and cite numerous benefits from it, almost none of which have any evidence. While there is probably some sense in doing some barefoot running in moderation as part of a balanced training program, there is not much point in letting it take over one’s training program.
