Recently, due to health reason’s, this writer had to make a change in life and get away from all products containing beef, dairy or anything associated with the likes. That is when I began to realize that it was time to explore alternatives so that it would not seem like the end of the world when it comes to enjoying foods. Vegetarian was one option but the chew factor was just not there for me. Being a lover of chili, there had to be a way. After a bit of research, several scenarios came to light which would satisfy the situation. After finding several chicken chili recipes as well as those containing turkey, I set out to see which was best. Taste wise, it was hard to find a loser as never having tried using alternatives to beef before, the palate was pleasantly pleased by these and found no real difference between any turkey or chicken chili recipe. As far as preparation, there is really not much difference and it is best to purchase either the chicken or turkey in ground form. One will find that the flavor outcome gives an entire new light on the taste when making and enjoying chili.
