The History Of Dog Domestication

In order to know how to effectively train your dog to be a loyal and eager pet, it is vital to know where dogs came from, and how their interaction with each other can affect dog training behavior.

The origins of the domestic dog probably started with the domestication of abandoned wolf puppies the early human took in from the gray wolf several tens of thousands of years ago. Domesticated dogs provided aid to early humans and they were used as a guard animal, a source of food and fur, and a work animal like the Boston Terriers. The dogs benefited from the shelter and food provided by the early humans.
