My daughter has been adrift the last few years since high school. She’s worked retail jobs while her other friends went off to school. But today, she came over for dinner and announced she was going to sign up for one of these dental assistant programs that are offered near her apartment. She said that she had been saving money the last few months and she  had enough money to pay for the program herself. I have to admit, I’m very proud of her and the initiative she’s showing. She’s a bright, beautiful young lady and she’ll go far if she just tries.
