Last February, usa women’s team speed skater Allison Baver suffered from a broken leg after after a crash with a teammate at a race in Bulgaria. After being in rehab until May and then began working her way back up in standings to be ready for the Vancouver Olympics.

Baver took seventh in the 2002 Olympics and fourth in the 2006 Olympics. she is the first inline skater to switch over to ice skating and make the Olympic team. The Chinese and South Koreans have a stranglehold on most of the medals the last few years, but this year the Americans have a chance to take it.
